If you’ve been putting off getting into better shape, new research shows stepping up exercise during middle age can significantly reduce your risk of heart failure in as few as six years. Scientists at Johns Hopkins Medical Center analyzed data from 11,000 older Americans. They found those who decreased their physical activity were 18% more susceptible to heart failure.
